A photograph of the former political prisoner and blogger Vadimati (Vadim Yermashuk) has been displayed in Hrodna on a notice board titled “Wanted by the Police”. According to the published wanted notice, the blogger is accused under three criminal articles: facilitating “extremist activity” (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code), insulting a representative of the authorities (Article 369 of the Criminal Code), and insulting a judge (Article 391 of the Criminal Code). At present, Vadim Yermashuk is abroad in forced exile. In 2021, a court sentenced the blogger to three years in a penal colony on charges of insulting Alexander Lukashenko (Article 368 of the Criminal Code) and desecrating state symbols (Article 370 of the Criminal Code). The blogger was released on 29 June 2024.
