The father of ex-minister K. Bishimbayev, Ualikhan Bishimbayev, filed a complaint with the Minister of Internal Affairs about the video entitled «Ex-minister beats his wife to death» that appeared on the YouTube channel Hyperborey. In it, journalist Vadim Boreyko, the author and host of Hyperborey, predicted that the ex-minister could be diverted from responsibility by recognising him, for example, as mentally insane. On December 22, the journalist was summoned to the police to give explanations. Vadim Boreyko explained that everything he had said was his personal opinion, and the assumption is based on his personal experience — in November, the trial of the customer, organiser, and executors of attacks on journalists, from whose actions he also suffered, ended. A forensic psychiatric examination found the orderer of all the attacks to be mentally insane, he was released from responsibility and is currently undergoing treatment in a psychiatric dispensary.
