The Russian Ministry of Justice has added the regional media project “Ust-Kut24” to its list of “foreign agents.” According to the ministry, the project spread false information about government decisions and the Russian army, as well as content from “foreign agents” and “undesirable” organisations. The ministry’s statement notes that the project’s founder lives abroad. This is Alexei Tupitsyn, a political activist from Ust-Kut in the Irkutsk region. The website has been blocked in Russia since March 2022.
