In Uralsk, four unidentified people held a rally in support of Russia’s actions against Ukraine near the Uralskaya Nedelya office. They held posters with inscriptions: «Uralskaya Nedelya is a provocateur», «Don’t rock our Shanyrak», «L. Akhmedyarov and Uralskaya Nedelya incite inter-ethnic discord». The people refused to introduce themselves. When asked by a correspondent of Uralskaya Nedelya why they had come to the editorial office, one of the protesters said that the reason was journalist Lukpan Akhmedyarov. The man called him a «pure devil» who «wants to destroy Kazakhs and Russians,» one of those «who do not see peace in Kazakhstan and are dissatisfied with the authorities».
