On the day of the election of the President of Kazakhstan, journalists of several mass media — Vesti.kg, Kazakhstanskaya Pravda, Ulys Media, Kursiv, Radio Azattyq, Zakon.kz — could not be present at the polling station during the voting of the current President of Kazakhstan Tokayev because of a long check. Journalists of Radio Azattyq were not allowed in because they were denied accreditation. Representatives of other media not allowed into the polling station had accreditation. «We were all told to arrive at 8.40-8.45 AM, but the president came to vote earlier. I arrived there at 8.35 AM, my colleagues and I would have made it if the State Security Service hadn’t searched us for so long. And that wasn’t even the point.
