The Khatai District Court of Baku arrested for 4 months the director of the online media outlet Abzas Media Ulvi Hasanli. The editor-in-chief of the media outlet Sevinj Vagifgyzy was arrested for the same period. Both of them denied the charges of smuggling foreign currency. They were charged under Article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (smuggling committed by a group of persons who previously conspired). This article provides for imprisonment for 7 to 12 years.
