It became known that a criminal case under Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (facilitating extremist activity) was opened against journalist Uladzimir Khilmanovich. The journalist has been forced to live in exile since 2021. Meanwhile, in Hrodna, in the flat at the place of his registration, representatives of the authorities, based on the decision of the investigative authorities, arrested the property: furniture and household appliances were listed as property inventory. Also, on December 1, the law enforcers searched the flat of Khilmanovich’s wife and confiscated a computer, digital and paper data carriers. The property in this flat was also seized.
