Irina Venediktova, acting director of the State Bureau of Investigations, filed a statement of claim against Ukrainska Pravda regarding defense of her honor and dignity due to an article by the publication which discussed the influence of her husband on the personnel policy of the Bureau. Venediktova demanded compensation of 150,000 hryvnia from each respondent (US$5,451).
