People’s deputies from the presidential faction Servant of the People have decided to boycott the national TV channels Ukraine and Ukraine 24, which belong to Ukrainian billionaire Rinat Akhmetov. This was reported by a representative of the faction Yulia Paliychuk and vice-speaker of the parliament Olexander Kornienko. The parliamentarians issued a joint statement and also accused the channels of spreading fakes, manipulation, and «public groundless insults to those who disturb the oligarch» and promised to reconsider the decision when «the oligarch will allow the media and journalists to return to work according to generally accepted standards of journalism».
