The Svietlahorsk District Court of the Gomel Region has recognised the Instagram account titled “intermarium_belsat” (identifier: instagram.com/intermarium_belsat) as extremist information material. This account is the page of the television programme Intermarium on the Belsat TV channel. The programme focuses on the historical and geopolitical place of Belarus among the peoples of the Intermarium region. On the basis of the court decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus added the internet resource to the “Republican List of Extremist Materials”. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
