The Tbilisi City Court allowed the Prosecutor’s Office to withdraw materials shown on the air and posted on the website of the TV Pirveli, in which the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the son of the founder of the 'Georgian Dream' party Bera Ivanishvili and the head of the State Security Service, Anzor Chubinidze, plan and discuss punishment for those who speak negatively about Bera Ivanishvili. The court’s decision is due to the fact that on March 9 the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia started the investigation not on the basis of the involvement of the first persons of the state in «punitive operations», but on the basis of illegal wiretapping and distribution of recordings of private conversations.
