Additional information:

On February 13, Georgian National Communications Commission fined TV channel Mtavari Arkhi GEL 2,500 (USD 870) for the late removal of a video criticising Georgian Dream party leader Bidzina Ivanishvili. The Commission considered that the TV channel had placed «political advertisement» not in the pre-election period, which contradicts the law. National Commission has found videos describing social problems in Georgia, with Bidzina Ivanishvili's portrait on the background saying «he has destroyed national currency» and «Georgia hates him», violating the law. Tamta Muradashvili, the lawyer of the TV channel, said that the Commission has no legal grounds to impose sanctions on the channel, as the imposition of liability on a video clip that has no customer is ruled out.
