On 13 November, citizen Lilit Dallakyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against hetq.am journalist Tirayr Muradyan, demanding a retraction of information she considers defamatory and the payment of monetary compensation in the amount of 1.5 million drams (approximately $3,950). The grounds for the lawsuit were a Facebook post made by the journalist on 13 October, in which he stated that Lilit Dallakyan had demanded by phone that he retract an article he published back in 2016 on the website Armtimes.am about her father, the political figure Viktor Dallakyan. In that article, the author pointed out a discrepancy he had identified between the politician’s income and his declared assets. The journalist считает this lawsuit to be part of a campaign initiated against him. The case is currently under consideration by the court.
