Jamshid Umarov, the former head of the Samarkand People’s Reception, called blogger Timur Sattarov, who came to the polling station to observe the voting, a gay. Umarov didn’t like having a blogger with a camera, so he tried to get rid of him from the polling station. The blogger filmed a video with Umarov's remarks: «Remove the camera! I do not allow you to shoot! You understand, jerk! Go and shave your beard!» and "bloggers like you, we don’t need you! We need good bloggers, normal bloggers. Look at how you look like! Are you gay? Get out of here! Go wherever you want!»
