The editor-in-chief of Nasha Gazeta Timur Gafurov was threatened by a user who introduced himself as Kayrat Akilbayev. The man sent a message to the editorial WhatsApp account of Nasha Gazeta with a demand to remove an article from 2010 from the newspaper’s website. It was about the material prepared on the trial of a police lieutenant accused of murdering a disabled man. At first, the user threatened Nasha Gazeta with a lawsuit, and after the editor’s refusal to remove the article, he wrote: «There is an editorial office address on the Internet. I am in Zhitikar, I often visit Kostanay».
