In Marneuli, Radio Marneuli journalist Vladimir Chkhitunidze was initially denied entry to the Sadakhlo polling station at 2:00 PM until the district electoral commission intervened. The head of the polling station delayed his entry, allowing it only if he refrained from filming. Chkhitunidze then sought assistance from the commission. Also in Marneuli, Chkhitunidze and Tiko Davadze for Radio Marneuli were verbally assaulted by a polling station observer, reportedly a GD supporter. The observer insulted them, calling them “agents” and “traitors of the country,” and threatened them. The station’s head further restricted their filming of the election process.
