The Vileyka District Court of the Minsk Region has recognised the page “Belsat TV” (belsat) on the social network Threads (identifier: threads.com/@belsat) as extremist information material. This is one of the distribution channels of the Belsat television channel. Based on the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added the internet resource to the Republican list of extremist materials. Under Belarusian law, the dissemination and possession of materials deemed extremist carry administrative liability for both publishers and users.
