The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow fined The New Times and its editor-in-chief Yevgenia Albats RUB 670,000 on three reports of spreading «fake» information (Part 9 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The court considered two reports against the founder and imposed a fine of RUB 300,000 on each of them. The editor-in-chief was fined RUB 70,000. The claims against the media arose because of two news stories on the website about the war in Ukraine, which were removed on the demands of Roskomnadzor.
