On 20 April, journalist Teymur Kerimov was attacked. During the day, he and his colleague were filming an interview in the apartment of the Popular Front Party leader Ali Kerimli. When Kerimov left the building, a black car with government plates was following them. Journalists went to the Court of Appeal, where the trial of Tofig Yagublu took place. Journalists' colleagues noticed that people in the car were photographing them. After returning from court, a woman called the journalist, asking to report on their plight. "When I arrived there, four men in two cars immediately arrived, demanding not to film them. I introduced myself as a press representative, but they told me to get out. When I refused, they beat me and seized my camera and laptop," said Kerimov.
