Police in Baku detained Fatima Movlamli, a reporter for the news website Azadliq, Sevinj Sadygova, a reporter at the news website Azel.tv, and Teymur Karimov. The three journalists were filming a protest when police officers forcefully stopped and detained them. The protest by mothers demanding that their sons killed in the recent combats with Armenia be recognised as martyrs and was heading towards the headquarters of the Presidential Administration. Police officers struck Kerimov in the arm and knee as they forced him into a police car. He was taken to Police Station No. 9 in the Sabail district of Baku and released without charge after half an hour.
