On February 24, Bari Samaratsi, LLC (Good Samaritan) filed a lawsuit against the journalist Tereza Asatryan demanding a retraction and compensation for damage to their business reputation. Bac TV, LLC, the founder of the Internet broadcaster by the same time, was brought in as a third party. The reason for the lawsuit was the journalist’s statement during the broadcast “Open Day” about Bari Samaratsi’s products, in which the quality of the meat products was put in doubt. The plaintiff demanded payment of restitution in the amount of 2 million drams (US$4,165). The lawsuit was accepted, and judicial proceedings are under way.
