The Buda-Koshelevo District Court of the Homel Region has recognised the Telegram chat “Filin. Operational Analysis and Public Commentary” (identifier: https://t.me/FilinBy ) as extremist informational material. It is an online resource of a project run by the Belarusian independent media outlet "Salidarnasts" (Solidarity). The project specialises in prompt analysis of events in Belarus and around the world. On the basis of the court ruling, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added the Telegram chat “Filin. Operational Analysis and Public Commentary” to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entails administrative liability for both publishers and users.
