On January 5, Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine CJSC filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the journalist Tehmine Yenokyan demanding to refute the information considered libel and pay AMD 6 million (about USD 15,000) as compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the journalist’s Facebook post written on December 1, 2022, where she said with reference to open sources: «Once again the sewage pipeline of the combine is damaged, the Voghji river is again polluted, a criminal case is again filed, and everything will be again forgotten, all will be covered up...». A representative of the CJSC demanded a refutation from the journalist, which was rejected, after which he filed a lawsuit with the court. The lawsuit is being considered.
