Tazakhan Miralamli, an employee at the newspaper Azadliq, interviewed Ali Kerimli, chairman of the opposition party Popular Front of Azerbaijan, at his home. When the journalist left the building, three people in plainclothes attacked him. They twisted his arms and forcibly put him in a car. They introduced themselves as officers of the Main Police Department of the city of Baku. The journalist was taken to the investigative department of the Khatai District Police Department. The journalist was later released, after being held at the police precinct for more than 5 hours.
