The Presnensky District Court in Moscow has sentenced TV presenter Tatyana Lazareva in absentia to one year and nine months of corrective labor for violating the regulations on “foreign agents” (Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Russian Criminal Code). Combined with her previous conviction for “justifying terrorism,” her total sentence now amounts to seven years in prison. She has also been barred from administering websites for four years. The new case was based on two posts on her Telegram channel, published in February 2025 without the required “foreign agent” label. Lazareva was added to the register of “foreign agents” in 2022. In December 2024, a military court had sentenced her in absentia to 6.5 years in prison.
