A criminal case has been opened against Mediazona journalist Tatyana Felgenhauer for justifying terrorism. The reason for the prosecution was a news broadcast on the YouTube channel Popular Politics on December 17, 2024, which discussed the assassination of Igor Kirillov, head of the Russian Special Forces. Earlier, Felgenhauer was charged with violating the requirements for “foreign agents” (part two of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code). In December 2024, a court in Moscow issued a decision on her arrest in absentia.
