It has become known that the personal details of Belarusian journalist Tatsiana Karavenkava have appeared in the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ wanted persons database. The reasons for the persecution have not been disclosed. Being listed in this database means that a Belarusian citizen has been declared wanted in connection with the opening of a criminal case. It is likely that Tatsiana Karavenkava was added to the Russian database at the request of the Belarusian authorities. She worked as a political and international affairs correspondent for the BelaPAN news agency (which was liquidated in 2024) and left Belarus in 2021.
