Police detained Tatiana Bublikova in Minsk, while she was meeting with political prisoner Maria Safonova, who had been released after serving her sentence. This meeting attracted people’s attention, including that of a neighbour who testified against Safonova at the trial. Having completed filming, the videographer called a taxi and left. Bublikova went to Safonova’s house, at which point the journalist was detained and taken to a police station. They were released approximately 2 hours later.
