On 3 March, the Civil Court of Appeal decided to refuse to accept for consideration the complaint submitted by Taguhi Aslanyan, a correspondent for the news website Livenews, in the case brought by the former Chair of the Public Council, Styopa Safaryan, against her. As a result, the decision of the court of first instance remains in force, which required the journalist to publicly apologise to the plaintiff and pay 600,000 drams (over $1,500) in compensation for defamation. The claim was filed on 13 July 2021.
