The director of the TV channel Next TV Taalay Duyshembiev, detained in the case of incitement of ethnic hatred, was arrested for two months. On March 5, the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek chose this preventive measure. On March 3, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic initiated a criminal case against the Next TV channel for incitement of ethnic hatred. According to the investigation, the channel «disseminated false information about the alleged agreement on the provision of military assistance by the Kyrgyz Republic to Russia during a special operation in Ukraine, citing the former head of Kazakhstan as a source of information's special service».
