On 6 January, citizen Artur Simonyan and the religious organisation “Word of Life Church of Evangelical Christian Faith of Armenia” filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against journalist Syuzanna Badoyan, seeking a retraction of information deemed defamatory, an apology, and monetary compensation totalling approximately 2.5 million drams (over $6,500). The grounds for the lawsuit were information used by the journalist to accompany her video material published on her Facebook page on 7 December 2025, which stated: “The leader of the Word of Life sect, Artur Simonyan, is taking part in a ritual for Pashinyan organised at the Seven Wounds Church.” The case is currently under consideration.
