On Monday in Hantsavichy (Brest region), the court over journalists of the publication Hantsavitski Chas Alyaksandr Paznyak and Syarhei Bahrou took place. On Saturday, they were detained by the police while covering a rally in the city, beaten, and later accused of disobedience to the officers. Journalist Syarhei Bahrou was arrested for 15 days. He was accused of disobedience to legal demands of the police (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and participation in an unauthorized mass event (Part 1 of Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus).
