In Dagestan, human rights defender and journalist Svetlana Anokhina has been arrested in absentia. She is accused of allegedly spreading “fakes” about the Russian military on social media, “including platforms banned in Russia,” in 2022 (Article 207.3, part 1 of the Criminal Code). The case became known in 2023 and has now been sent to court. Anokhina is currently outside Russia.
