About 50 media workers were detained on August 27 in Minsk at Freedom Square and Independence Square. The security forces, in plain clothes, loaded all journalists in minibuses without registration numbers and brought them to the local police station allegedly for a document check. The police held journalists for several hours. In addition to documents, journalists were forced to show what's inside their phones.
