Temirzhan Ramazanov, deputy head of the criminal police directorate of the Transport Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, demanded a refutation and apology from the newspaper Vremya and journalist Stas Kiselyov. The pre-trial complaint came to the editorial office after the publication of a report that a resident of St. Petersburg claimed that the Toyota Venza stolen from him was in Kazakhstan and now, with forged licence plates and repainted bodywork, belonged to Temirzhan Ramazanov. In case the editorial board fails to meet his demands, Temirzhan Ramazanov warned of his intention to go to court to defend his honour, dignity, and business reputation.
