Stanislav Obishchenko, a freelance correspondent of the Russian media outlet RT, has been detained in Almaty. According to Mikhail Krasnov, producer of the media, the TV channel's team arrived in Almaty from Nur-Sultan. The journalists went to film a story in the church and then went to Republic Square to film the military equipment. «A car with military personnel drove up – they threatened him with a rifle, put him on his knees, and forced him into the car», – said the producer. The journalist was taken to the police station and later released.
