The security officials detained the journalist when he was covering Sunday's protest march. He was taken to the police department, where he was accused of participating in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). He was held in the detention centre for two days until the trial. On December 15, the court found the journalist guilty based on the police report and fined him a large sum.
