On 10th February the editorial office of the newspaper "Political Pen: Tribune" and the house of the publication's editor-in-chief, Zhanbolat Mamai, were searched. On the same day, Mamai was detained by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau as part of an investigation into the embezzlement of funds from BTA bank by Mukhtar Ablyazov.
