The plaintiff demanded that the court oblige the journalist to refute the defamatory information disseminated in the article "Money laundering at the expense of the prevention of extremism" (published on the website of the newspaper "Region EurAsia" on 21st February 2017) "by making written apologies and refutations on the websites" of the newspaper, on the social networks Facebook and Vkontakte, and to collect compensation from the journalist. The Court granted the claim in part, having ordered Zhanar Davletova to publish on the publication's website and in social networks a refutation of the controversial information and to pay the plaintiff 100,000 tenge in damages.
