In Karelia, the Chief Editor of Novaya Kondopoga, Yulia Shevchuk, was fired without an explanation. According to Shevchuk, it was the decision of the head of the local administration Vitaly Sadovnikov. Previously, the administration, which is practically the owner of the newspaper, was unhappy that the "girl from the regions" did not bring in profit and depended on one-off grants and subsidies from authorities.
