Reutov City Court detained Yevgeny Kurakin, a journalist for the online newspaper Rosderzhava, for two months in connection with a criminal case of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code), which was initiated against him in 2012. Earlier, Kurakin was detained in the prosecutor's building, where he came to file applications for the protection of Reutov’s park from being cut down and built over. He was taken to the Balashikha police department, where he spent 48 hours.
