On the evening of July 6th, Azattyk's Nur Sultan reporter Orken Zhoyamergen and cameraman Yerzhan Amirkhanov were attacked by an unknown man who sprayed pepper gas from a canister, Azattyk reports. Journalists from other outlets who were standing nearby were also exposed to the gas.
