On February 10, 2017, a court decided to start re-examining a case from 2014. On October 5, 2017, the Leninsky District Court suspended proceedings in the case initiated under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred against representatives of a certain social group) against left-wing activist Yegor Alekseev. The defendant was arrested in absentia and put on a federal wanted list; he did not come to the court hearing. The charge was dropped in March 2019.
