In October the editor of the critical news website "abzas.net", Ulvi Gasanli, was unlawfully called into military service. In the same month, correspondending government institutions presented a document stating that Gasanli was not obliged to conduct military service for health reasons until 2019. Gasanli had organised public hearings on 15th October in Baku, and immediately after this was called to military service.
