On August 29th, the Supreme Court Judicial Panel on Civil Cases, chaired by Judge Sarsenbaev, considered the case of the humiliation of police major Daniar Rakishev's honour and dignity against the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Uralsk Week", Tamara Yeslyamova. According to the court's decision, Tamara Yeslyamova must publish a refutation of the report and pay the policeman a total of 3.5 million tenge in compensation for moral harm (2 million tenge from the newspaper's owner, 1.5 million from the editor-in-chief).
