On July 22nd, at 11 am, a press conference planned at the Kazakhstan International Bureau of Human Rights on the case of Oksana Shevchuk, who is accused of having links to the banned organisation "Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan", was disrupted by a group of aggressive women. As a result of the chaos, a camera belonging to representatives of Radio Azattyk was damaged, the TV camera belonging to journalists from Almaty TV channel was also damaged, the mobile phones of journalists Sergei Duvanov and Margarita Khodus were stolen, and a smartphone and camera was stolen from a correspondent of the international news agency "KazTAG".
