Ruslan Ginatullin was sentenced to six years in prison by the Pavlodar City Court on 14th December 2016 on charges of "creating a transnational criminal group" and "inciting discord." According to the verdict, Ginatullin posted several videos on the VKontakte network which are allegedly extremist in nature and aimed at inciting ethnic discord. The sentence commenced on 2nd February 2017.
