Tashkent blogger Otabek Juraev was punished for his public activities. On August 5th, he was beaten with a rebar by an unknown person. Otabek had come to Samarkand after a request from a local resident, from whom scammers had stolen $28,500. A criminal investigation into the attack was opened, but the results of the investigation are unknown.
