The coal mining company Karazhyra filed a lawsuit with the Pavlodar City Court to protect its business reputation against the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Time", Lev Tarakov, correspondent Olga Voronko, and head of the regional Department of Ecology Daniyar Aliyev. The claims of the coal mining company were caused by the article "Banya in Black" published on February 22nd 2018 in the newspaper "Time" and on February 28th on the publication's website. In it, the author quoted excerpts from a speech by Daniyar Aliyev, head of the Department of Ecology for the Pavlodar region, at a briefing with Pavlodar journalists in which he spoke negatively about the quality of Karazhyra's coal.
