On Monday, the Leninsky District Court in Kursk fined journalist and ex-MP Olga Lee 90,000 roubles. The editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Narodniy Zhurnalist” (The People’s Journalist) was found guilty of defamation against the judge Lyudmila Shurova. The libel case arose immediately after Olga Lee's widely acclaimed appeal to President Vladimir Putin, in which she accused the head of state of "conspiracy against his own people" and criticized the annexation of Crimea.
